Engage Vancouver exists to make disciples by starting new churches and new ministries.
Through the partnership of Christian Reformed Churches in the Lower Mainland, we hope to engage the local church to love, serve, and bless our neighbourhoods by starting new missional communities, churches, and initiatives. Engage Vancouver is made possible through partnership and funding from Christian Reformed Home Missions (CRHM).
Engage Vancouver is led by Albert YS Chu (Lead Pastor of the Tapestry Church) and Martin Contant (CRHM in Western Canada).
"Refugees live in exile, in danger and are some of the world's most vulnerable; they need your support, compassion and interest. There are more than 51 million refugees worldwide.” We reach out to refugees in numerous ways - through putting together welcomes baskets, hosting dinners, and supporting refugees we meet. We also work in conjunction with the Vancouver CRC Chaplain and Refugee Support Mobilizer - Dena Nicholai. More information about her work can be found at the website above.
The Okanagan Gleaners process donated (gleaned) vegetables into healthy and nutritious dry soup mix. Annually, they prepare approximately 5 million servings which are then donated to well-established relief organizations such as World Vision Canada, Mennonite Central Committee and Mission Without Borders. This year, we are sending youth on 3 separate trips to volunteer!
