Sam serves as our pastor of Tapestry Mundy Park, a diverse and vibrant church plant in Coquitlam. Having worked as a chaplain in various public institutions such as corrections, healthcare and university, Sam’s passion to see broken lives find healing and hope in the story of God’s redeeming love. His vision for the church is to be a community woven in faith, centered in Christ, and filled with the Spirit so that our families, communities and world would flourish.
Sam holds a M.Div. from Regent College and a B.A. in Sociology from Dalhousie University. He is a trained Critical Incident Stress Management facilitator and has also completed several units of Clinical Pastorate Education at both St. Paul’s Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital. Sam counts it a privilege to minister to people in times of life transition, crisis and need.
Sam is happily married to his wife Sarah and together they chase around and raise their three lovable kids. He loves all things culinary and can rarely turn down an opportunity to feast and fellowship with old and new friends.
